Good Afternoon,

Our grade 6’s engaged in a successful vaccination day on Thursday. The students were well behaved and very mature. I am very proud of the leadership that our grade 6’s are showing so far this year.

Some of our Grade 2 students in Rooms 2, 3, and some of 4 engaged in a field trip to Fish Creek Provincial Park to participate in a program titled “People, Parks, Plants, and Animals” this past week.   The trip was a great success and the students really enjoyed the experience. Thanks to all of our parent volunteers that made this experience possible for our grade 1 students.

Next week Rooms 21, 14, and some of 4 will be going on the same trip. We are currently short of volunteers for this trip and it is endanger of being cancelled if we do not have enough adult supervision. Please reach out to your homeroom teacher if you are available to volunteer for the trip. I would like all of our grade 1’s to have the same experience.

Inform - School Council Executive

We held our Annual General Meeting for our School Council last night. We shared some important updates about the school, created a fundraising plan and voted in our new School Council Executive for the 2024-2025 School Year.

I just wanted to express my deepest appreciation and gratitude for the following people who stepped up and volunteered for the following Grant MacEwan School Council Executive positions. As a result of your commitment to our school, we will be able to access extra funding to support learning activities at Grant MacEwan School for the benefit of all of our students.
